Urban action

The aci­tiv­i­ty is based on mar­gin­alised young peo­ple’s joint analy­sis of being mar­gin­alised, and it will thus illus­trate both sim­i­lar­i­ties and dif­fer­ences across the nation­al con­texts. This out­put will con­tribute a sub­stan­tial analy­sis of how bar­ri­ers and oppor­tu­ni­ties are dis­trib­uted in the lives of mar­gin­alised young people.

The IO2 joint ana­lyt­ic work is based on work in each nation­al con­text. In each coun­try, the researchers and the part­ner organ­i­sa­tions will hold and pre­pare local work­shops with the youth at risk, who will elab­o­rate on their local con­di­tions and social real­i­ty. These local analy­ses will form the basis for the transna­tion­al work­shops with mar­gin­alised youth from the three par­tic­i­pant coun­tries and it is with­in this transna­tion­al work­shop the joint ana­lyt­ic work will be developed.

It is rare that high­ly mar­gin­alised youth are brought togeth­er across nations to share their own analy­ses of their life con­di­tions and oppor­tu­ni­ties and to offer their sug­ges­tions for appro­pri­ate change. This out­put is there­fore extreme­ly inno­v­a­tive and holds strong poten­tial for direct impact and transferability.
