Meet the Swedish project partners: Malmö Universitet and Malmö Stad
In total, Malmö University has approximately 24,000 students and approximately 1,900 members of staff. It was founded in 1998, and since the beginning its vision has been to contribute to a sustainable and equal society through research-based knowledge, critical reflection and accessibility of education and lifelong learning.
The university has been actively working to widen participation in relation to recruiting students from a non-traditional university background. Today, one third of the students have a non-Swedish background, and two thirds are first generation academics. Malmö University has five faculties and five research centers.
